Community & Server Rules

• Do not use slurs.

  - No explanation is needed, they will not be tolerated.

• Do not promote self harm/suicide.

  - This server is not the place for discussion or jokes of these topics. This applies to both the discord and minecraft servers and will be treated as a serious issue by staff.

• Do not do/say anything racist or sexist.

  - Jokes, discrimination, and harassment will not be tolerated!

• Do not harass other players or members of the server.

  - Harassment is purposefully/maliciously mistreating other players, or engaging in actions that harm/annoy them even when told to stop. We take this behavior very seriously.
  
  - DON'T BE A KAREN, if we find that your report of harassment is "karen behavior" it will not be taken seriously.

• Keep the server appropriate.

  - This server is meant to be a safe and peaceful environment for everyone. Certain crude jokes, immature behavior, and political talk interfere with this atmophere. This can range from text on signs and books, talking and gifs in discord and in-game chat, and even item names. You will be warned if your behavior violotes this rule. Try to use common sense, and you are always welcome to ask staff if a certain behavior is allowed.

• Absolutely no doxxing or real life threatening.

  - Do not share anyone else's personal information without their consent. Such as: email addresses, phone numbers, names, addresses, and real life pictures. Breaking this rule will result in an instant and permanent ban.

• Respect and listen to staff.

  - Our staff works hard to ensure the player experience runs smoothly. It is important to remember that all server staff are volunteering their free time to help run the server, and as such it is expectected of you to remain calm, patient, and respectful when communicating with staff. If you are unable to uphold yourself to this standard, you will be warned for it. If you are outright dismissing staff warnings punishment will be made more severe. It is also expected of you to not DM staff on discord unless they give you permission to do so. If you believe staff is overstepping their duties, simply reach out to an admin about the issue. Please remember to be respectful and listen to warnings.

• Only engage in PVP when you have consent.

  - We take PVP without consent very seriously. Attacking people without asking if they want to PVP is considered harassment. Always ASK FIRST before engaging in a fight with a player. There are no exceptions to this rule.

• Vigilantism is not permitted.

  - We have a rule system in place and staff to enforce them for a reason. If you find someone breaking the rules, report it. Just because someone broke the rules doesn't mean you can break the rules to stop them, the rules also apply to you.
  
  - For example, if someone broke a rule and you choose to spawn kill them you would be in violation of the rules too. This kind of behavior is not allowed.

• Refrain from @ing people too much in the discord and in-game.

  - DO NOT ping staff or admin unless it is an immediate emergency.
  
  - Don't try to use @everyone or something that will annoy a large group of people without staff permission. You may ping individuals, but you will be warned if you are doing it too much.

- Cheating is any tool or behavior which gives you an unfair advantage over vanilla players. Use this as a general guideline.

- A list of mods/resource packs/exploits that we DON'T AllOW are below. If something isn't listed here it doesn't inherently mean it's allowed. Cheating with something and using the excuse it isn't currently listed is not acceptable. It is always safer to ask staff first; Ask for permission rather than for forgivness.
Note: If you have something that should be added to this list let us know in a ticket!

• Exploits (The only one we offically allow is bedrock breakers):

  - Anything that allows you to see through blocks
  - Duping of any kind

• Resource packs:

  - Anything that makes textures see-through (xray)
  - Anything that highlights entities, players, or blocks (glow ore doesn't count)

• Mods (Minimap mods are allowed, but it isn't allowed to help find structures with the cave feature):

  - Seed Crackers
  - World Downloaders (If you need something downloaded from the server you must first ask staff)
  - Anything that highlights entities, players, or blocks
  - Any macros or baritone
  - Freecam/Replay Mod (You must ask permission to use this by staff)
  - No hacks of any kind (If you are found using any hacks you will be permanently banned)

- Do not grief others builds/areas or engage in griefing (Making any unwanted modifications to others's structures or builds with intent and without permission constitutes griefing)

• We take griefing other players very seriously!

  - if a player's build is obstructing yours or you simply want it removed, DO NOT take it into your own hands.
  Instead, open a ticket, send screenshots and coords, and tell staff why you want it removed and we will get back when possible.

• Large scale world destruction.

  - Due to this server having a single map that will never reset, mining or otherwise destroying any large section of the world may be considered griefing as well. We have a resource world for a reason, Ask for assistance in finding it, if needed.

• Do not waste staff's time.

  - Do not waste staff's time looking at who broke a single grassblock or other tiny thing unless it happens repeatedly. We will ignore you if you are repeatedly being annoying.
  
  - In particular, small parts of nether paths, highways, or mines do not warrent a report; use common sense and don't be a Karen about it. • Also vandalism of signs are not taken seriously if the person who changed the sign is willing to fix it later, doesn't ruin the signs purpose, and wasn't done with malicious intent. Good rule of thumb is to not mess with other players things, especially if they are sensitive to it.

- Spamming will simply result in you becoming a mute (maybe forever) if you do not stop when asked.

- Excessive swearing will be taken seriously, as it can be annoying to others.

- This includes (and surpasses) the following list. Just because its not in the list does not mean it's allowed, and punishment will/can be severe depending on the build. Use good judgment to determine if you are breaking this rule, and ask staff if you have any questions regarding it.

- Examples of what is not allowed:

• Penises
• Swastikas
• Recreations of real world terrorism(9/11 is an example)
• Anything NSFW

- Large farms causing lag may also be removed, use common sense when building your farms and keep the size reasonable. It never hurts to ask staff about it.

- Lag machines will be removed and so will you.

- Chunk loaders are not allowed on this server due to its use on server resources.

- This harms the server and will be taken very seriously. Minecraft servers, other multiplayer games, and other discord servers count toward this rule. If you want to publicly ask people to join a different server you MUST ask staff for permission. Directing people to a separate discord server to then promote, or dming midpoint players to avoid this rule is not allowed either. No matter what it is you are promoting or where you are doing it, you ARE REQUIRED to check first with staff. There are no exceptions to this.

- When people legitimately get items or build things on the server it is unfair of you to take it without permision.

- Always ask staff to take a look before you go meddling with others' creations.

• Items

  - If you come across items you want, ASK STAFF ABOUT IT FIRST. Chances are you can have it if we determine it to be abandoned, but it is required of you to check first before taking.

• Builds

  - Taking credit for others' builds and creations is considered plagarism on this server, and is your responsiblity to give credit where due. This applies to builds from other midpoint players and builds found online. If you are found not giving credit, nuclear force may be utilized. Make it clear when you give credit like an obvious sign, and if people ask be honest it is someone elses' work.
  
  - Claiming other peoples builds is also an issue we take very seriously. Make sure that it's abandoned by asking staff first or the previous owner of it for permission before claiming the area.

- Some farms are so fast/efficient that it ruins the balance of the game and takes the fun out of the gameplay. They also devalue items that are supposed to have rarity, and make some things for new players too easy to get, ruining the natural progression of the game.

  1. ALL Raid farm types (You may make arenas to conduct raids inside of. Make sure it is not automatic and the pillagers aren't lured to a kill chamber.) Ominious bottle farms are allowed.

- We do not appreciate AI generated content or "art". DO NOT use generated images, video, audio, or text in the discord server or use AI to make maparts, as these will be removed if detected. If we find you sending AI generated text, content, or "art" after being warned you will be punished severely.

- We undestand that not everybody knows fluent english, but please try to keep the chat in English. You may be asked to keep your conversation to /msg if you must use a language other than English. If you can't you may be muted if it is causing a disturbance.

- Do not attempt to bypass the afk system using any macros or automation mods, it is there for a reason and abusing it is unfair to others. The 8 hour limit is there for a reason as well to keep the server from filling up. We take this seriously, and it will be punished if you continue after being warned.

- The player statistics page is not intended to be highly competitive. Please be aware that artifically inflating your stats ruins it for others, especially if it is an absurdly high number(i.e. crafting 2550 clocks). If you are suspected to have done this, all your stats may be nuked back to zero.

- Finding the server seed for finding loot, structures, or other things is not allowed as it is unfair and can allow for xray. If we find you tried to find the seed you will be severely punished.

- Sharing the seed is also a serious issue. If you try to share the seed you will be immediatly banned permanently with no appeal.
